I have a habit of taking a tablet of 10mg diazepam with half bottle of white wine before I end my day. Some how, the next morning, I find my self very calm in handling all my task. I don't have any temper handling my clients. I try to reduce it but end up feeling depressing.

How to start my day
Hi it's very common to use alcohol or drugs as a crutch to help with things like depression. The trouble is it does help in the shorter term but in the longer one it just creates more problems. Also alcohol is a depressant.
I would advise you to start tacking your depression in a healthier way, maybe through therapy or self help such as mindfulness. There is lots of info online and some very good YouTube videos which should help.
10 milligrams of diazepam is a lot. I am hoping it was a typo and you meant 1 milligram.
Dear 1972oct, mixing benzos and alcohol is an invite for the paramedics.I use to call it the "Saturday Night Special" that would come into 911.
It's a dangerous combo reducing heart rate, breathing, blood pressure with
possible unconsciousness. The depression you feel the next day is due to
your body going through withdrawals.
Please get some help 1972. I care and don't want the next episode to put you
in the hospital. Thank you for being upfront and honest. We are here to support
you. xx
I agree with others, 1972oct, mixing alcohol with a benzodiazepine is not recommended, for many of the reasons stated already.
Mixing two drugs that have the same mechanism of action results in the enhancement of the effects of both drugs. This means that the effects of both drugs are increased significantly compared to the use of either drug alone.
Out of bed...shoes on....half hour walk...all weathers...👍...watch the results of those who do not procrastinate 😳
I do this occasionally also. It's new to me. I just started doing it this past spring. I'm not even a big drinker. I'm definitely seeking some sort of solace. Just wanted to say. I get where your coming from. Hopefully we can both find a better way to cope with our feelings.
