Tips zzz with high anxiety

Hi having trouble sleeping health issues and sendin my anxiety wild especially bed time laid minds overdrive and heart feels shallow like not enough breath n palpitations,, any help be greatly appreciated:) tried deep breathing and calm sounds x

Hi. I'm sorry this is happening to you.have you tried cutting down on caffeine?. Coffe chocolate. Have a milky drink before bed. Maybe have a bath to unwind

Hi thank you , I’ve cut out most caffeine since had high bp and just drink herbal teas now , I eat 2 squares dark choc so I’ll try have that morning snack ,, I’ll try the warm milk n bath before bed thank you so much 😊 x

It's ok. I've done the same by cutting down on caffeine. I do still have some dark chocolate though not to much.I hope it can help. Xxx

I think it has helped cutting down or out ,, yeah need bit of bad to get me through day lol thank you x

Hi tiger just. So sorry your anxiety is so bad. I know what you are going through. I am guessing your anxiety is caused by health problems? If your cholesterol is high, then I am sure you are watching what you eat. It takes a little while to reduce it. I purchased a book called Eat your way to Lower Cholesterol by Ian Marber and Dr. Laura Corr. There are some great recipesplus lots of advice. Try and remember to drink lots of water as well. If you can, do some gentle walking. I only do a half hours walk daily but it’s better than nothing. I also do some yoga. It all helps to de stress me a little. But I know it’s the mind set that really gets us and I also suffer from ocd . I’m guessing you may suffer with this too. I do mindfulness which does help but takes time. I have just started counselling. Maybe that’s something you could try. I think it would certainly help and then you would sleep better. I’m a fine

one to talk. I can’t seem to conquer my own fears. There are some fantastic people on this site who are always here for you and don’t be afraid to tell them how you feel. They have helped me and some have given me some straight talking, which has certainly made me think. Please do not hesitate

Hi , thank you and yeah since March health anxiety it’s been non stop high bp ,, papilledema but swelling going down so good thing , high cholesterol but that’s back in normal range thank god ,, kidney stones , gastritis doing more tests for these symptoms as hasn’t eased after meds dr think ibs got worse ibd or infection tummy , now iron in low end

, yeah I eat well try everything from scratch nothing fried ,, but I’ll still have a look at that nothing better then eating good food to better health ,, yeah waters good n that’s all I can manage at the min 20-30 just feel exhausted,, yeah it’s awful how it gets you it’s like it takes over ya mind and body , I do suffer with ocd drive my fam mad as have to b in a certain place lol ,,

Yeah is that self referral or through gp counselling

Hi there. I did have private counselling but didn’t seem to connect with her. But now I am trying someone through my gp. I’ve only had one session so far so we shall see. It’s important to find the right person. I take antidepressants and have just increased my dose. Hopefully they will help a bit. Do take care and speak soon.x

Ahh okay so it doesn’t matter if pay just find right one makes sense though ,, oh okay if they are helping you plus can always reduce when you start feeling better too hopefully this counseller works for you and get you back there ,, you take care too and yeah keep in touch :) x

Hi. I too have trouble sleeping and went through a really bad patch several months ago which drove my anxiety through the roof. I enrolled in an online app called SLEEPIO which I found very helpful. The app is a six week course which helps you understand the problem more and gives you lots of tips and advice. The early stages of the course are tough but by sticking with it my sleep definitely improved tremendously. It is not a complete cure but certainly a big help. Search online for this or there are many more similar apps to use.

Hey ,, aw I’m sorry you are too it’s awful ain’t it mind just won’t switch off then sets ya body off physically ,, ahhh Oki I shall find that app right after here,, yeah I can imagine things get worse before better or keep telling myself tht anyhow ,, thank you so much glad it has helped you a tad too :) x
