Does anyone deal with constant brain chatter. I feel like my mind is going 100 miles an hour. I am listening in my head to conversations from yesterday, songs and words on repeat. Its never quiet. Its like a radio station that just goes and goes.
Some days i deal with specific intrusive thoughts but this now feels like my brain is misfiring random stuff all day long.
Anyone else struggling with this?

Hi I get that as well the same song over and over again from when I wake up.it goes on for ages sometimes it's a song I hate and it's very annoying.i don't understand why this keeps happening
Years ago, I was diagnosed with severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Now, I'm not hearing any of the horrific symptoms I suffered with from you ..... however, the cornerstone symptom I had that began my anxiety journey was 'brain chatter'. This of course led to the inability to get a good night's sleep.
It's the body sounding an alarm, so you can take action. You're too overloaded and a breaker on your nervous system is close to failing.
Are you on social media and phone constantly? ..... are you working too hard? ..... stressful job or daily life? ...... smoke, drink alcohol, or any other unhealthy activities? .... poor diet? ..... too many stimulants like coffee, sugary foods, treats, refined carbs, caffeine, etc? .... take OTC or prescription drugs or illegal drugs .... watch or read things that upset you?
If any of those apply to you (that's the short list), then you need to scale back, cleanup, calm down, and simplify your life .... to insulate yourself from the high anxiety that is possibly coming. It's easier to correct now at this stage ... then ignoring it and waiting like I did only to be struck down hard.
Drink calming herbal teas daily. Take calming supplements like magnesium (there are many others). Prepare for bed properly: no activities beforehand .... blacked out room and eyeshades .... drop of Lavender oil on each side of pillow. Take Valerian herb or 2mg of melatonin 1/2 hour before bed. Well ..... you get the idea.
Trust me .... I'm fine now ... have been for years. But, you don't want to go through what I did to escape it. I'm speaking from wisdom. Been there; done that. I'm telling you what I wished someone had told me when I first started having the brain chatter.
Good Luck! wishing you a calm, simplified, peaceful future moving forward . . .
Always. Kind of irritating. I even told myself to answer myself. But miss it just plain irritating now. Sometimes it just one word that goes thru my head for awhile. Wished it's stop.
