Does anyone have constant brain chatter?. Its driving me mad! I wake with it every morning and could last all day. It’s exhausting.

Hello. Yes. Brain fog. It gives me a headache too. Have you ever experienced it ?

Yes kind of, I get a sense of pins and needles in my head - lasts about 1-2 seconds when it comes - or another way of describing it is I feel like im in a trance at times with wet cement sloshing around my head, again lasts 1-2 seconds - it’s not particular painful just odd .....does this sound familiar ?

I understand. I get Like a cold feeling in one side of my head. Lasts the same 1-2 seconds. For me it’s the thoughts that causes the anxiety. I’ve been feeling fab for months. But the brain fog seems to still be there. Haven’t a clue who how to leave that behind. I’m a fan of Dr Weeks acceptance. Really helped me. Have you ever read her books or listened to her on You Tube ?

Mine had been going on for about a year. I had real bad achy neck with it too. I was convinced was MS so had an MRI which came back ok, but me being me still wasn’t convinced.

However suddenly as if by magic it stopped for a few months and then was replaced with stomach issues instead 😠😠, but about 5 weeks ago the head thing returned and now happens daily. It use to be bad on waking but mornings not as bad now.

I started listening to Dr Weekes via YouTube Friday coincidently, it does make sense so far but then it doesn’t seem to cater for health anxiety directly (yet) which is my biggest issue - it seems directed at panic attacks which not sure if I have or not as I have symptoms on/off everyday rather than a stand alone panic attack.

I also tried Charles Linden method in the past, this worked for a while in principle but then I found it hard to maintain - my problem is these self help people are fine if it’s anxiety alone I feel but due me having health anxiety I’m yet to get to the belief of my symptoms being anxiety so it’s hard to believe these people when I still feel my symptoms may not be anxiety if that makes sense ?

Sorry for the long message just I’m struggling a lot and I feel people around me don’t truly get what I’m feeling or saying 🤔

I think and from what I have learned from Dr weeks and this forum. Anxiety is anxiety no matter which one we have. Acceptance is the same for all of the anxiety names and symptoms. It’s a very hard thing to do when feeling so terrible and full of the symptoms but it does actually work. We all have set backs so don’t beat yourself up about those. In time if we practice acceptance we can all recover.

I have had heath anxiety too but I know it’s only me with the anxious thoughts. No scan or blood test ever shows up anything so if you have had a clean bill of heath then put it down the anxiety.

I’ve had anxiety for 20 years. Hang in there. You can get better. Believe in yourself and know it’s just the anxiety bully you. You’re never alone. We all here to help each other.

Thank you for the words, I will look more into Claire Weekes. Do you mind if I ask if you take any AD ? Just that I’m thinking of maybe trying again. I have had anxiety for just over 20 years too and took Sertraline back then but felt I was on them too long at the time, and eventually felt better some years back anyway. reason I ask if you are as maybe your head chat is a side affect of an AD ? Just a thought and I wish you well.

No of course not. I don’t mind you asking! I haven’t taken any tablets for 15 years. I’ve had Prozac and another which I can’t remember the name of right now. I didn’t like the side effects so read and did some running Do what ever makes you feel better. If you feel you need some meds then take them. If you can do without then even better. You can do this. You can get better and just remember not to fight the symptoms to let them come. The more you fight the worse it becomes.

Have you tried Magnesium for your brain chatter/fog?. Glycinate is the best for that.

Hello Mrhealthanxiery. I’m a little better thank you for asking!

It hasn’t been happening every morning. I’m hoping it was just a little blip.

Oh I’m sorry you’re have the symptoms. It will stop once you allow them feelings to come and go. I know it’s really scary and it is really easy to talk about but I have done the acceptance thing and still doing it. I was really bad years ago with intrusive thoughts. I’ve had anxiety for over 20 years! had Chest pains. Dizziness too with weird feelings all over my body. Headaches from the numbness after the anxiety finally left but always returned. But since I have allowed the feelings and thoughts to come and go most of the above got better. As you know I do still get the symptoms but no way as bad as I did and! I’m still working on accepting them all too.

I’m more confident in life. You can do this too. Don’t fight it. I hope you feel better real soon. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on.
