Hi!!
Ok , so ...so far I’ve been fairly ok, given the events that have transpired over the past year . I’ve been maintaining decent mental health I’d say. Well, one thing I give credit to, is exercise. I do also want to give honorary mention to : meditation!!! So relaxing , once you give your mind space to be free, clear and calm. It takes me a while, but once I’m in a state of relaxation , meditating feels blissful.
But back to the reason I’m posting this , in the first place . I wanted to chat on exercise. I know there’s immense benefits , yet there’s flaws , too.
I’ll have such a euphoric week or so , working out then bam!! There’s a session I’ll have to wrap up , because of anxiety.
So, earlier I was warming up, then went to my ab workouts . It was all great until I realized I not only have to go the bathroom, BUT also....I had sinus issue all day. One minute the nose is stuffy the next my nose is clear and I got wobbly ...all in my head , though. Then my head, I’d feel this liquid sensation.... and it would obviously be my sinuses but I’d be uncomfortable.
I most definitely chill on doing certain workouts during PMS week too, which it is for me , now.
I say all of this to mention these things and ask...
Well, ....Do you all have anything you do to get yourself back to being calm( if in a panic ) in between workout sessions , or do you say “ screw this” and wrap things up until the next day? I always do the latter but wanted some advice on how I can maybe get BACK to a state of calm , then back at my workouts. I LOVE to workout and feel great after, just that working out while anxious and/or going through PMS truly sucks . Hormones are going up and down and all around right now.
How do you manage any intrusive thoughts while working out?
Currently relaxing and studying , but had to ask around for tips to better manage anxiety during a workout.
