Just wanting to hear from anyone who's taking duloxetine with propranolol for depression and anxiety. I have started propranolol today for anxiety side of things.

Just want to hear people's story good or bad experience and what the propranolol helped with?

Hello nettles12I took propanol for a very short time , due to an overactive thyroid doctor gave them to me to take up until I got my thyroid medication I didn’t want to take them then, I realise they give then for anxiety , but I knew once my thyroid sorted do would my anxiety. I really just wanted to take vitamins to get my body to be the best it could and its worth getting those checked if you can.

I started taking propanol maybe six months ago. It’s mainly for migraines (it’s actually helped quite a bit with them) but the doctor said it might help the physical symptoms of my anxiety. Tbh I don’t think it’s helped my anxiety much. Sometimes it’ll stop me from being shaky when I’m anxious but that’s it.

The only downside for me is that I had to cut my dose in half because that plus my antidepressant made me feel super blank and emotionless, and it also made my blood pressure feel too low. But once I cut the dose down it’s been good

I take propranolol er for essential tremors in my hands. The dosage has to be right. I believe it slowed my heart rate down a bit because my heart was beating pretty fast thus causing the tremors.
