Hello

Have you ever been to the Dr in the past year and got a simple CBC blood work up it’s a basic blood test ?

Do you know someone with lymphoma ? I only ask because it’s a particular health anxiety.

How long have you had the itchy skin ? Anxiety also causes itchy skin. You should see your Dr and get a simple CBC test and if you have a swollen lymph gland the Dr can rule that out by a biopsy. I can understand you having a fear of having lymphoma but it will ease your mind know you don’t have it.

I already going to see a gp twice i think once in early december and the other one in january but they just always give me some antibiotics over and over like i become tired of it and they never want to do the bloodwork for me cause like they say im still young to get terminal disease and I can't afford to do blood work by myself unless its got covered by insurance

Try a new Dr , Blood work is very inexpensive and no insurance company would deny a CBC. Second lymphoma that’s your health anxiety has you worried about lymphoma is not a Terminal disease. It’s either acute or chronic both are highly treatable. And averyone at any age could get lymphoma or leukemia. That being said if I were you I’d be looking for a new Dr.

Best wishes

John

Hi BeatingAnxiety, I looked back over 5 months of your posts and couldn't count all

the times you worried about Cancer. As "Ironj" stated, a simple blood test could determine if there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Somewhere along the way it seems like you

got stuck in focusing on your health. Did someone have these symptoms you describe?

Did someone you know die of Lymphoma? Are you searching Google for your symptoms?

Set up an appointment with your doctor. Hiding from your fears does nothing but make things worse for you. You need reassurance and the only way you can get it is through

a professional taking a look over your health fears. My best :) xx

I really want to do a bloodwork but I can't do it by myself i cant afford it and the place that i can use insurance wont do bloodwork for me

Not particularly someone have these symptoms but its just me

And I don't have someone die from lymphoma even my family never ever have cancer in their life, i even dont know cancer lymphoma before i have health anxiety and yes i google my symptom i tried not to but its really hard 'caused i dont have assurace that i want because like my swollen lymph node would never go up without caused like there must be a caused that make my lymph node swollen but i dont know what it is.

Now i always scared going to the doctor because i never get the outcome that i want that will put my mind at ease 'cause my doctor always treat me bad that only make me more anxious

Hi .. I used to be a lot like you.. I always felt worried about having cancer or some other sickness .. it would control all of my thoughts day and night .. my best advice to you is take a deep breath.. try to stay off of google.. do everything you CAN do to have a healthy body : such as eating healthy getting exercise ( which is also so good for anxiety) find a hobby that will take up extra time and keep you from obsessing.. take high quality vitamins.. by doing these things you help yourself.. you help your body to be healthier if nothings wrong with you and you help your body to be healthier if something is wrong with you .. it’s a win win. Get things checked out when you are concerned but don’t let these intrusive thoughts control your life!

Very well said and all great advise. Ruminating on the what IF’S will keep you in a state of fear. Please get checked out to put your fears to bed.

Try and eat organic foods that aren’t sprayed with chemicals or GMO. Eat heathy , take Niki’s advice.

I also agree stay off DR Google it will have your head spinning.

Best wishes John

I totally understand.. I also know when I’m in a anxiety spell there is little anyone can say to me to make me not freak out.. so trust me I do get it.. all I can say is try.. something that helped me a little is to realize the “worrying” doesn’t help anything it actually can cause disease on its own so I use that as my fuel to drive down my worry .. best of luck to you 💛

Hi there, I saw your comment on here and had to write. I have health anxiety, had it since I was small.

During this pandemic and after having my second daughter I had several anxiety issues. Recently I noticed one of my lymph nodes on my neck is bigger than before. Since it didn't go down I went to the GP to get checked (I was so anxious as hate going in during the pandemic). I have bad eczema, asthma and a leaky heart valve too. I also itch a lot but not necessarily from the eczema I put it down to stress. And you can get swollen lymph nodes from stress. My GP said he doesn't think there is anything to worry about but he'll send me for a scan. Since being at GP my node dod go down a bit too. Of course I will only be reassured once the scan is clear but I do agree with the others that you will be only reassured once you get checked out. I also had a full blood count in September which was clear.

Hope you manage to get some reassurance from your GP! Take care x
