Buspirone and feeling like things aren't real.

As the title states I have been on buspirone for a few weeks and am starting to get these intrusive thoughts that things aren't real. This in turn fuels my anxiety even more. It gets especially bad at night when I am trying to sleep as my mind starts going a million miles a minute. Any idea if this is buspirone related or how to stop this?

As an addendum. It feels like I am going crazy while on it. Is that part of the side effects?

Have you had racing thoughts before? Have you had thoughts before that things weren’t real? I take buspirone with no side effects.. How much do you take?

I have about three years ago when I first was diagnosed with anxiety. Was taking 45mg (15mg 3x a day), but per doctor's instruction am now on Cymbalta.

Does Buspar work for you..my doctor just prescribed it to me and I haven't taken it yet..to afraid ot side effects

As far as I know. I had no side effects. Thinking at this point it was just extreme stress that causer the issues here. Personally I would take your doctor's recommendation and start them. Give it a few weeks, and go from there.
