What is the prickly sensation?

I am experiencing a prickly feeling all over my body that feels like I've been soaked in menthol or peppermint. I'm 71 years old and in good health.

It ebbs and flows throughout the day and doesn't seem to be affected by lotions, the hot tub or showers. It goes totally away at night, so I sleep well.

I don't really feel that anxious but have "Covid worries" like many others. I am keeping myself safe by doing all of the Covid protocols.

Could this be some kind of anxiety?

I have had this a lot due to anxiety. I have seen many posts by others who have said this exact same thing! It’s so strange how anxiety can cause these physical symptoms

Thx... it's new to me. I've had some stressors in the last year and a half, but nothing really lately and I feel like I'm able to relax a lot... since I'm mostly at home. Because if Covid. Very weird. I did some sublingual cannabis thinking it would help.... oh my god.... felt like I was in fire!
