Anyone having this strange side effect on Mirtazapine?

I have been on Mirtazapine for 2 months now & just wondered if anyone else has experienced a burning sensation on the soles of their feet and sometimes on the palms of hands. This usually happens first thing in the mornings.

Hi Teapot62, I’m new to mirtazapine (2weeks) I have had crazy dreams and severe rage which is scaring me I’m not normally angry? I have had the burning sensation a few times but thought this was down to something else, it’s hopefully something that will pass soon hope this is helpful :)

I am also experiencing rage, almost manic episodes that end as quickly as they start. Scares me to interact with others that I might tear into them verbally 😐

Hi I was on mirtazapine for about 2 years and the only side effect I had was feeling tired at night. It did work to slow me down but found the other methods helped to fight anxiety, which I did and now on no medication

Hi Kevin, I agree that Mirtazapine helps with sleep but it doesn’t stop the anxiety, I have tried CBT but it didn’t help much. How did you fight your anxiety?

Hi

I used the tested idea that if you can keep your mind occupied on something else then it will divert your thoughts away from anxiety. So I attended a CBT course, also group therapy, I listened to relaxation tracks, I took up a new hobby and joined a local group, I tried to socialise to try to fix the broken links in my mind to try to do the things I used to be able to do. I never gave up even though it was tough at times just to go out. I got there in the end
