Dumbfounded !?

Has anyone else had speech difficulties that could be due to stress/ anxiety? I had been trying to contact my landline supplier to report a fault. I had spent so long trying to get through to a human that when someone actually answered, I could hardly get any words out. I have to say I was scared.. Should I be worried?

Hello :-)

I had to laugh at your post , not that I was laughing about you but I relate

I have got to the stage where they have left me waiting that long when they answer I have forgot what I have phoned for !!!!

So I think this happens to us all and nothing to worry about :-)

Take Care x

Thank you.I seriously thought I was going crazy or having some kind of brain issue. When a friend rang my mobile I was almost afraid to even try to speak in case it came out as gibberish. My friend puts it down to added stress of lockdown . Have started to dig out my Claire Weeks books and CDs.. ..Oh the joys of being "highly strung". 🙄😊

No you are not loosing the plot , I think they keep us waiting sometimes that long we are taken by surprise and off guard when they finally say hello :-D

This covid though is not helping me either , you are not alone :-) x

Thanks again lulu-1. Felt all wobbly and lightheaded yesterday. Obviously got myself in a pickle and panic. It might have been a good idea for me to have put down my mobile and eat or have a drink at least. Common sense has gone out of the window. derrr. Hope you are not suffering too much due to the restrictions. Stay safe x

Hello :-)

I know how you feel my anxiety has gone up by 100% especially since the covid

I am agoraphobic so to be honest the restrictions have not affected me but so much more about the changes have :-(

Yes common sense always goes through the window and I have to make such an effort to make sure I am eating when I should be , I think when we are anxious we can easily forget :-)

Make this weekend all about you and taking care of yourself :-) x

Lulu-1. I have been reading some of your earlier posts and sympathise and can relate to a fair amount. I won't go into details but you will know what I am talking about if I suggest you have a spoonful of organic Coconut Oil each morning. I had trouble for 4 days at the beginning of lockdown and had episodes post childbirth some years ago. So painful. We all respond to different remedies but I found Coconut Oil very helpful (likewise baked beans lol) Might help to prevent future problems. I appreciate your responses. 🙂🙂x

Thank you , I will look at that is there any make that you can recommend ? :-)x

The one I have is called TIANA Fairtrade raw extra virgin Coconut Oil. It can be used in cooking or on the skin etc. 😊x

Thank you I will look at that :-) x

Yep, I have sometimes felt like I was slurring my words or as if I had cotton wool in my mouth or stiff jaw. But even though I thought I was having a stroke it was in fact anxiety

I relate to that. I thought I had had a stroke. .Doesn't help that so many 'cheerful' ads are on TV and Social media.. Not what we need, especially if living alone .Though I am not happy that you experience similar symptoms, I am relieved that I am not alone.
