Hi I am new to this site... i have been on mirtazapine for almost 12 weeks.. 5 of these weeks I have been on 45mg... i also take pregablin 150mg 3 times a day.. i feel so agitated during the day. Can anyone else relate to this? I cannot wait to take my mirt in the evening to help me feel calm again.. its as if the mirtazapine is not lasting for its full duration. Its driving me nuts... any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

After 5 weeks its probably time for a medication review with the doctor. Discuss the pros and cons of staying on the same meds or changing. The trouble is that anything taken by one person may not suit someone else so advice is hard to provide, especially if not medically trained.

I hope you and the doctor can together, find the best combo for you

thanks 😊 my CPN is calling me next week for a review. I have been telling her im not doing good on mirt but she asked me to hold on one more week and we will take it from there.. im trying my best but I just want to get back to being me..its so frustrating. If I get put on another med I will have to go through all the side effects again 😤 I don't know if i could go through that again..

I stopped taking Mirt after only one night... the drowsiness into the next day was too much to cope with and I've got two little kids to look after so no good for me.

I've taken Pregab before and it never made me feel agitated but I've read from so many people that mirtazipine makes them in a raging mood. Thats another reason why I decided to stay away from it as I already suffer from a bad temper naturally x

thank you issy.. The agitation has eased now.. its a horrible feeling.. i don't think I'm liking mirt but im scared I will need to try and start all over again with another med with other side effects.. i have been off work almost 5 months and I really want to get back.. fingers crossed the meds eventually calm things down xx
