Hello :-)

I have not taken this med but I know anxiety meds are all similar

However the side effects do usually settle down

You mentioning suicidal thoughts though concerns me as even if this is the side effects I would see if I could talk to my Doctor or nurse at my surgery to see what they say about this

Let us now how you get on :-)

Take Care x

I have been taking it for over 6 years. I fin it is best taken at night, a 1-2 hours before bed time to avoid the hangover feeling first thing in the morning. No other side effects to report.

As Lulu advised, suicidal thoughts should be checked out with your prescriber as a priority.

How long it took you work, also it helps you with the anxiety and panic attack?

Where you had tremors during the first month ?

It worked about 3 weeks after starting. I can't recall tremors. Every body will have different side effects which usually pass over time but if they bother you a lot, discuss with your doctor. M is particularly good for my night time anxiety / panic attacks. I take a low dose of Venlafaxine to cope during the day and use some coping techniques I learnt from a psychologist.

Can you share your techniques that you learn?

My favourite is anxiety wave surfing. 🏄‍♂️ When on the ocean imagine the calm and anxiety is the wave building. You are aware of the anxiety wave getting bigger until it reaches the highest point. You get on the wave as it breaks and you ride it down to the beach back to calm again.

The trick is to acknowledge the early symptoms of anxiety are there, knowing it will build up to its worst level for a short time and then go back to normal.

Anxiety / panic attacks come in rapid cycles of approx 20-30 seconds rather than one huge attack so you might experience 5 or 6 in a row. It feels they go on for longer when in the middle of them.

Armed with this knowledge from my psychologist and 🧘‍♀️practice, I am doing much better.

There are heaps of tips available online or from a therapist. Just find one or two that work for you and persevere!

I was, the only side effect was weight gain. It was helping me, because of the weight gain she took me off it. I was recently put back on it. This time for some reason it did nothing for me so I stopped using it. I’ve Not heard anything Bad about it

11 years I been taking,9 years on 45mg the last 2 on 30 mg,no side effects except over eating and a little weight gain. There can be all kinds of side effects from any medication though these generally work there self out within 4/6 weeks.I've had mental health issues for the past 20 years and these are by far the best medication I have taken along with counselling and monthly acupuncture, I do suggest you keep in touch with your doctor if things don't improve .Good Luck

hi been on them for years in the beginning they seemed to do the trick put on weight also.a few things happened in my life and I can say for sure they stopped helping with anxiety/depression.I tried coming off them had an awful time ended up back on them.trying it my way over a longer period had a few bumps along the way still suffering anxiety depression but I would rather suffer without them than suffer with them.
