Anyone else feel short of breath on and off throughout the day for a few days if you’re having a super bad anxious episode?? I’ll have it on and off throughout the day and it makes me even more anxious but then I’ll go weeks without it. Is this anxiety??? Hypochondriac. Please let me know if you have similar things. This is the first time I’ve experienced this symptom. Only been having it since I was 7 months pregnant I am now 3 months postpartum.

Hi..I have this off and on sometimes and it’s so annoying. If I’m busy, I’m not concentrating on my breathing. As soon as I’m not busy and I think of something, I get a rush of adrenaline and I feel the anxiety shoot thru my body. Sometimes takes a week or more to go away. Guess we have to try to pinpoint what is making us anxious and that usually makes us feel better. Then say, ok what can we do to change it. If we can’t change it, then we can work on coping. Many things we can look up online that will give us tips. Hope you feel better.

Helps to know we are not alone and crazy!

Thank you for the reply!!! It does take a week or so to go away completely for me too. I am also this morning and yesterday evening having a tight feeling throat. Like my throat is closing or something. The shortness of breath is gone now. 🙄 done with one anxiety symptom onto the next! Ugh.

You’re welcome. Anytime! Lol..that’s the way it is with health anxiety. Playing tricks on us. Oh no, we can’t relax cause now I have pain somewhere else. We have to talk out loud and say SHUUUT UP! Lol I do it sometimes. Take care. 🌝

I have this, too! I’m a hypochondriac and I worry that something is seriously wrong with me all that time. If I’m busy I won’t think about it but the second I do I’m like, “holy crap, I’m having trouble breathing. I’m not getting enough oxygen. Are my airways closing off!?”

I’ll go in full blown panic mode and I’ll start crying and shaking.

Ugh I’m so glad I’m not alone but I’m sorry you deal with this also. Do you have it go on for days on end sometimes? Like I had a swollen lymph node for a day or two and it went away. But now I’m literally just dealing with the anxiety and trying to get it to stop. Constant knot in my stomach and nausea

I have that as well. I’ll even panic to the point my chest will hurt and then I’ll go in fight or flight mode when that happens! Sometimes it’ll last for weeks and others it’ll last a few hours then I’m fine. All of my mess started happening in February of 2018 and it was rough for about 6 months.

Mine happened about four years ago and this is the worst it’s been since then. I’ve been to the ER for thinking something is wrong with my heart, thinking I have appendicitis, numerous times. Blood work thinking this and this is wrong, yesterday I just had them do a blood test for diabetes and thyroid issues so I can stop worrying about that! Sending hugs I’m always here if you need to talk
