obsessing: had few water infections and I'm... - Anxiety Support
obsessing
I had urine infections every month from Jan to August last year, i even had to go to hospital for a few hours to have iv antibiotics and fluids. Then kidney scans. Very scary. Its important that you have correct antibiotic for your infections. I have been clear of them since August by drinking 1.5 - 2 litres of water everyday and i used sanitiser and wipes to use on the toilet pan before sitting on it. Hope this helps. Take care
thank you for your help. I'm currently clear but it's like I'm living waiting for next one I know I sound silly but it's like I'm obsessed scared to go for a wee in case it hurt! drank that much water I had to go like a vicous circle .
Its not silly and i was the same. Carry on what youre doing and you will be fine

has your GP testing your folate and B12 levels - Both B12 and folate deficiency can lead to a whole host of symptoms that include anxiety and susceptibility to infections - particulary urinary infections.
Folate deficiency tends to develop quickly.
B12 deficiency can take years or even decades.
B12 is only found in animal products so if you are a vegan or eat little by way of meat/dairy/fish/egg then a dietary deficiency will gradually occur but there are many non-dietary causes. You can find out more about B12 absorption problems on this forum
and you can find a full list of symptoms here
