Hi gizmo, I just recently got onto anxiety medication and the first thing they prescribed me was Effexor, the first week I felt fine and then the second and third week I was getting really sick. Waking up at night extremely nauseous, sweating, shaking, throwing up. I wa sad used to stop taking it bc of the awful side effects it was causing me but I had to go through a literal withdrawal period from the medication I went to the ER three times in a week due to my severe panic attacks and not being able to calm myself down. Just two days ago they started me on a very low dose of Prozac so sometimes you just need to try different medications until you find the right one for you. And most the time you feel worse before you start to feel better. Good luck with everything and know you are never alone!
