Yes my heart feels like it’s beating irregular all the time
Yes heart skipping, fluttering, pounding, speeding up and slowing down. Had echocardiogram each and 2 day recording of heart beatng. Been told I have a structurally normal heart. What I'm having are ectopic heart beats. I try ignore them and remind myself my heart is healthy. A frayed nervous system will give these symptoms
Dr claire weeks book self help for your nerves is the best anxiety book ever. Still have it years later for reference. I said to consultant I k ow from results my heart is healthy. He replied But do you believe it? That he says is what is important. To know and believe are two different things.... Have some tests for reassurance and exercise, eat well, magnesium, Vit D , plenty of water and sleep. Cut out caffeine, alcahol and cigs if you do . Wsh you all the best as I truly understand how the nervous system can take a grip x
I don’t drink smoke nothing at all yeah like my heart do be slow flutter but then body like someone saying it going shut down and feel all strange do you get that or just the heart x
Hi Nikkiox, Certainly alcahol makes symptoms worse the next day. And smoking also has affect in heart rate and ectopic beats. The thing is I've had a number of tests repeated since I was 28. I'm now 56. They reassure me my heart is healthy and I should try ignore the sensations. They also agreed it's not all in my mind and that my heart rhythm does show rapid heart and ectopics whilst the monitor was on over 24 hours. They did not find anything of significance. I was given small amount of beta blocker but for me didnt help. So I took up running, relaxation classes, good diet and magnesium . I can be totally unaware of my heart for a few months at a time and then out of the blue Il have a few weeks of ectopics, twitching, slowing etc. I'm learning to nt panic as I use to but still disconcerting. Along with the book Dr Claire weeks I have found Cnsultant Dr Gupta
York cardiologist on utube very reassuring. He explains these rhythms of heart very well. Lots of people with ectopics dont even feel them and they are only found by chance when being investigated for somthing else. I wish you all the best and do understand how these issues impact on quality of life. All I can say have them investigated and if told your fine try ignore them x best wishes
