Did you check your pulse to see if it matched the number on the watch? I'm not sure how accurate those are.
Before you worry a couple of things,
I use Garmin and it checks my heart rate 24/7 and sometimes it may give me a wonky reading, like when its signaling its close to be needing to be charged or low battery. This may not be happening with your device but you should keep in mind these wrist devices will not always be 100% reliable and should NEVER be used to monitor your health stats, only your doctor can do that.. These devices use an algorithm to calculate data, use certain statuses from previous data to give you what it thinks is as most to accurate reading it can. Read the disclaimer that comes with your device that these should never be used to gauge your actual health.
That said, your doctor should be apprised of any concerns, if you are truly concerned your doctor will check your blood pressure and pulse rate. Both of these vital checks need to be completed, not just heart rate via a potential unreliable wrist device.
Those watches and stuff are not reliable they are mass produced for people who think that will tell them if they are health. My doctor told me to get rid of all that garbage and if I wanted to know to ask for a 24 hour holter test. I told my doctor when I am relaxed or sleeping my heart rate will lower into the high 40's. He informed me that heart rates fluctuate all the time and they look at the heart rate on a time scale to get the range and as long as it doesn't stay real low for hours it won't affect the mean heart rate. If you are relaxed and it dips if your aren't making yourself crazy anxious do you feel wobbly or weird? Then I would have it checked sooner than later. If you stand or walk does it go up and then when you sit or lay it comes back down? My doctor said that's what is important that it reacts properly to using energy and then relaxing. Being anxious can also make your heart slow down too I know it sounds strange but you can learn to meditate to lower your heart rate, that is what I do and sometimes it seems I get in a good 15 minute meditate and it will go into the middle forties and then when I resume activity it responds accordingly. Sorry so long but this has been my health anxiety obsession for about 10 years and I stopped letting that be my problem about 9 months ago and I have so much more freedom. Now I am going through a rough patch my son is in the hospital we have had set backs and new triumphs but this is the longest I have gone without seeing him since birth and he's 27. So the checking with the finger pulse ox has started again but little by little I am shying away from it as I keep telling myself that doesn't tell me anything more than my heart is beating and my oxygen is making into my body. I'm awake and alive and should let my body do its thing. You will get a handle on health anxiety I am hopeful that you are young so you will recover quickly. Just let go of the bad habits, I set a limit if yesterday I did my pulse 25 times the next day I try to lessen it by at least 1 time. Not a big goal but it is something. Might take me a month but I will kick it again. This is not an easy battle nor is it a fair one. We are strong, we are worriors and we will stand behind each other until this ugly monster is beat!!! Gentle hugs here if you need us!!💜
