So about a week ago my heart rate was always 78 and over even to 90 sometimes but now I'm noticing it's very low at 68bpm is this maybe because of citalopram? I just started yesterday ? I'm scared about the low heart rate incase of blockages or something like that

60-100 is still the normal average resting heart rate so Is still classed as ok, if your worried it doesn't hurt talking to your doctor about it.

Hi caits sorry to here your having problems im unsure if its the citalopram thats causing your heart rate to be rising a bit im not going to say its your citalopram thats causing your problems as im not a doctor as that would be foolhardy please go back to your doctor and ask his advice i wish you well take care david

I would say nothing to worry about, mine is between 55 and 75bpm. Its low the more I work out. Your numbers are not abnormal, some athletes have the lowest heart rates. Just says your heart is healthy most likely. Not a doctor, just my 2 cents. 😃

P.s... I would make sure your medicine is not the cause either .
