Have you tried in-hailing some steam? Maybe some Sudafed . my classic Is to eat a spoon of some deadly spicy sauce . Then my sinuses empty to say the least

That's so true Ryan in that spicy foods help thin the mucus. :)

With this virus going around , I have been doing this daily to keep the sinuses free. It’s got to be sauce or a raw chilli that is way to much for me to handle . I feel like it keeps the colds away also .

I've been known to inhale steam whenever I have come down with a cold.

I'm not for taking OTC cold remedies and so have used the steam as well

as Chicken Broth which is known to thin the mucus as well. Plain Robitussin

which has only Guafesin in it, will help as well. These remedies work only

for a cold or sinus issue.

The fluid/pressure feeling from anxiety is different.

Hi Kerene, it's not too often that I hear about people saying that their head pressure

feels like there's fluid in the head. I had that at one time. It was an uncomfortable,

scary feeling which produced muscular contractions headaches at times. For me, it

wasn't a sinus problem but a problem of the contracted muscles causing the

lymphatic fluids to get stuck in my head. You can even hear a fluid sound almost

like a swishing. At the time I was experiencing that issue, my anxiety was off the charts

causing me to be afraid, fearful 24/7.

What helped was my doctor ordering physical therapy where they worked on the

muscle knots at the base of the skull and lower neck area. These were the trigger

points that needed to be released. Once they were, the pressure and fluid were gone.

It is not a dangerous issue but needs to be addressed to make you feel more comfortable. :) xx

you are working on the tension knots can help in neck and shoulder.

there's a great video titled heathers massage which shows you how to drain the lymph system from behind the neck. it is soothing and easy to copy on line.

having sinus a congestion and ear problems cutting down on dairy is recommended to stop overproduction of mucus,

the added mucus can be to do with pollen count which can include grass ,flower pollen birch and other tree pollen.

there is a homeopathy remedy in pillules by nelson click packs which is useful as well as dr schlusslers tissue salts.

vic vapour rub is a good standby and can affect the cold virus as antibacterial and help airways. head exercises turning head slowly from side to side and up and down were recommended by ent specialist and helped me.

Good ole Vicks Vapor Rub, always have some on hand as well as

the new patches they came out with.

I'm glad you got the help you needed. My doctor was a Rheumatologist

at the time I experienced the head pressure/fluid feeling. I have Fibromyalgia

which exacerbated the issue. But I'm okay now.

Thanks for your feedback. :) xx

its great..i had a sensation of fullness in my ear as if it was swelling sometimes with ringing. agora has good tips and have found putting a forefinger near the ear hole pulling the cartilage underneath downwards can release the sensation. if the tiny hairs in your inner ear are affected they can make you dizzy and lose balance with fluid and pressure. I find taking Sudafed or an remedy to stop the mucus building up can help. kwells travel tablets can help dry up mucus and antihistamines such as clarytin may be useful. ask your pharmacist. tapping the occipital ridge of the bone at the back of the head just above your ears tapping gently along may help symptoms. hope you find something to help. even an ear syringe can bring immediate relief.

Kerene, what you are experiencing in your ear can be from ear wax and/or

a tightening of the ear canal muscles. I was told to take hold of the top of my

ears and gently pull up on them. This can help stretch those tight muscles and

sometimes drain any fluid build up.

I had a fabulous physical therapist at one time who taught me all the little

tricks of the trade that I could do at home whenever I had an issue. It helped

me a lot. I hope you find what works for you. I understand it's a horrible feeling. :) xx
