Tension in head

I'm having bad tension in the top of my forehead and at the bridge of my nose. It makes me super anxious. I know tension headaches are common with anxitety. But I'm getting this when I don't even feel anxious sometimes.

That was the biggest thing for me to come to grips with. Me feeling the physical symptoms of anxiety even though I'm not anxious.

I get tension across my nose and forehead. I get a sensation behind my nose, something the same as the feelings just before a sneeze comes on. I think it's the muscles tensing. Mine comes from clenching my front teeth and jaw. The base of my neck/skull is also tense. It affects my balance. Luckily I don't seem to suffer headaches, though my scalp is tense, too.

Oh my god,,,, I have the same problem.

You may have a stiff neck. Sometimes when your neck is sore it can effect your head, face and other parts. My muscles in my shoulders are tense and it goes up to the base of my skull

Yes, coming from shoulders. I don't experience pain, more of tension. When my balance is off, my legs, hips and lower back tense up, too. It's viscious cycle. Anxiety, tension, anxiety. It's very tiring and energy consuming. I sleep well, fortunately, unlike some people. Grateful for that!

Do a search on SCM muscle.

You may want to get some Physical therapy.

Thank you. I've had a variety of therapies. General massage, acupuncture, osteopathy, CST. I tried hypnosis but it freaked me out and didn't see it through. A costly business! I do think regular massage, perhaps deep, would be most beneficial. Life is busy.

I try massaging my face muscles. Around my eyes which get tight and tired.

What Rockster said was right on.... Its not to say that it isn't an improvement over feeling overtly anxious... but it can be a pretty persistant 'underlying current.' Its nothing to worry about, however... what I mean is: don't be AFRAID of this....its just normal... one day...it will all be better! That is what we look forward to... Meditation is really good for this... Do the guided ones...plenty on the internet--the ones for stress and or anxiety... Good luck!
