How do I calm my anxiety during this lockdown? It’s been 4 weeks and I’m already experiencing extra anxiety symptoms due to the inability to socialize. My mind races more and I’ve developed trembling in my hands and body. I don’t have friends to talk to on a regular basis. With more months of lockdown I’m not sure how to handle this.

Anxiety during isolation
Join the club. This lockdown is killing me. I think most people feel the same.
Please think positive. My situation is worst because I am away from home different country. I been suffering anxiety nervousness and panic attacked since last year but during this lockdown been having this often but i always think on the bright side we all in the same page so hang on there we will overcome this and this make us stronger. There will be days that you have down or something but always think the 3 happy pictures of your life it will makes your smile and soon forget this bad things on your mind. God Bless
Thank you.
Are you doing anything to try and alleviate the stress symptoms? Exercise works for me.
Music, meditation are also my go to distractions.
Life has changed for all of us. This is not easy at all.
Thank you.
Ive been having high anxiety too I even had my first real scary panic attack. Unfortunately for me it started because I had bronchitis and between the meds and the virus my anxiety went thru the roof.
Now that I have my meds under control my anxiety has dropped a little. But I still have chest tightness and headaches. Its hard to know if ots the bronchitis or anxiety. Same goes with headaches. In beginning I'd check my temp for a fever many times a day. And now I check bp because of meds cause high readings. Its got to a point I don't want to check because I nervous it will be high. So hard to get good reading because with anxiety bp increases. Basically I meditate, deep breathing exercises and exercise. Plus been dropping weight. For me eventually I get so tired of anxiety I just forget about it
But unfortunately ill move on to another issue. I don't take any drugs, alcohol, cigs, nothing. I just handle it myself, talk to people and read up on treatments and strategies. Sorry about long reply I have alot of time on my hands.
Hi Dove2259,
Theres nothing wrong with being isolated at your house. You can put aside some time to sit or lay down in quiet and stillness. Empty out all thoughts in your mind and breathe with calmness, and the real self will open up. Look inwards and not out. Stay safe ☺.
Thank you for your support🙏🏼
Just remember you’re not alone, we all are in this together! If you’d like to chat you can PM me!
Hey, so sorry to hear you're feeling this way, I think we are all somewhat in the same boat! I have been trying my best to take this time to do tasks around the house that I always meant to get around to but never had the time, for example I have painted my bedroom, and organised my wardrobe and drawers. I have also been trying to get in some exercise each day to free my mind. Do things you enjoy, read a book or listen to music, or watch your favourite tv show (disney+ has been a great addition for me) especially when you feel yourself spiralling. Additionally, I have personally found comfort in planning fun activities to do when lockdown is over. If you are ever needing anyone to talk to my DMs are completely open for a chat. Each day in isolation is a day closer to it all being over.
Best wishes x
Thank you so much for your suggestions and support. I particularly like your idea of planning activities when the lockdown is over. That has helped me get through difficult times in the past. Guess I just needed a reminder. 🙏🏼😊
Glad I could help, stay safe and happy planning! 🥰
