The last few days I’ve been sleeping so late as I’m sure we all have because of the virus. It’s just the unknown that’s getting to me, not knowing If I’ll get it, if I do will I make it through, will my family be okay, when will it all end. It’s just never ending
It’s such a shame because it had to take for this virus for us to all see how many people really die daily from illnesses and it’s made us all be so worried for our health like we shouldn’t be anyway ...
During the day I’m okay as I’m distracted and not thinking about it but when I read the newspapers and see that people in there 20’s (I’m 20) are dying from this it just makes me feel so uneasy. Almost straight away I feel like I can’t catch my breath and it’s just horrible.
What’s everyone else’s way to deal with anxiety during this time?? X

Hi sweet, I too have been worrying a lot! The media doesn’t help. As much as they need to inform us they scare us.
I’ve just found comfort of knowing I’m taking all precautions I possibly can and my family are too and hopefully it will pass soon and we can carry on with normal life....
I suffer health anxiety so worrying has been off the scale... don’t worry you’re not alone x
Definetly I totally agree. Because we’re just seeing all the deaths and infections and they’re not showing us how many people are actually recovering. It’s just all so scary for anyone that deals with mental health.
Remember the odds are very much in your favour that neither you or your family will get it. Even if you did only a miniscule amount of young people get it so severely that they are seriously ill or even die.
By far the biggest death toll is among the elderly expecially those with serious underlying health problems. Even so most of those are surviving it. x
I can’t think of a worse scenario for people with health anxiety, like me. You can’t go online, turn on the television, or even surf Netflix lists without Coronavirus popping up. My anxiety has been climbing due to all of this. So yesterday, I decided to turn off the news, Twitter, etc. I will go to Disney+ (they aren’t advertising the Coronavirus to little kids) or I read, listen to music, etc. I have told myself I will check the news briefly every few days, and I have told my husband to not tell me anything unless it will directly impact my life. I don’t want to hear any more statistics, data, speculations, etc. I might not be acting like the educated person I am, but my sanity s more important. My advice, turn off the news. May you be blessed with calm and tranquility during this time.
Your so right it’s so difficult to try to distract yourself when everywhere you go everything you do you hear about the virus.
I as well have just started to avoid speaking about it too much, watching the news and reading as much as I did at the start and it definitely helped with keeping my mind abit more sane. Hope your okay xx
