I hate this feeling

As well as anxiety I suffer from IBSc/diverticulitis and it has been playing up of late, symptoms completely opposite to what I usually have, so stopped my usual meds for a few days, man was that a mistake, because of my idiocy I am in a great deal of pain which of course added to the self isolation has made my anxiety hit the roof, face hot and shaky, chest tight, nobody to blame but myself.

I suffer with those things to and my stomach , indigestion etc has never been as bad and I have been going from one med to another not knowing what to do and possibly I to have made mine worse

This virus is making me so anxious that has took over the world and as you know the gut get's affected when we are anxious I think it is making things worse , plus because everyone is panic buying I cannot get the foods that suite me and am having to eat things that I know will affect me which is not my fault , I have to eat and at the moment whatever you can get where we are it is either eat it or be hungry !

Are you self isolating because you have the virus or because you are vulnerable ?

Which ever it is please don;t make yourself feel worse by blaming yourself , this is a tough time for us all , we are all struggling and what we don't need to do is start making ourselves feel even worse :-)

You know stopping the meds have not helped and you are taking them again , we can only try these things , if you can as I know it is hard to even get a telephone call of your Doctor at the moment but maybe see if you can and they may be able to advise you what to do :-)

You are not alone though and this will all get better :-)

Thank you for your reply, I am self isolating because I have copd/emphysema and am an old fart of 69, just needed a little winge 😊❤

To help the IBS, etc be sure to avoid chlorine. Filter water if necessary. Get fermented foods and liquids. Kombucha tea is worth trying. Check into making your own kefir, Avoid wheat. Totally avoid artificial sweeteners and limit or avoid sugar. Try to get some direct sunlight or take vitamin D3.

What are your symptoms? I have been overly anxious and i started having this gnawing pain and bad indigestion. I was supposed to have an edg but im terrified of taking certain sedatives because im afraid it will effect my breathing. I'm so afraid of surgery and anything invasive because of the medications they use.
