Have you registered on line with your GP to book appointments and repeat prescriptions , if you have you can still go on and request them and they will be sent to whatever chemist you use

If not phone the chemist where your prescriptions normally go to and ask them they should know

Hope you get what you need :-)

Take Care x

Hi lulu-1 I am signed up with my surgery to request the regular repeats when needed and to put in for special one off things with a small email through that site. Does this cover it? Its always delivered by the chemist. Last time I put in the chemist took far longer than usual and threw the stuff into my porch, refusing to come in and singing the form himself for fear I would contaminate him. I dindt blame him.

Yes this should cover it , go on and it should let you order what you need :-)

Any kind of deliveries are doing the same they have been told to basically knock and run :-D a driver was telling me and we don't have to sign anymore

Let me know if it allows you to put your request in on line it should do :-) x

If it’s knock and run, perhaps there are jobs for the kids now school is closed🙈

Peace!

I was joking and it made sense to me. Apologies if it came through otherwise. I have something called dry humour, not everyone’s cup of tea!

I use the patient app on my phone. It's imperative at this time. GP is allowing 2 months worth currently and get the order for medication in earlier than usual due to the demand and uncertainty. I don't ask for delivery but will be asking a relative to pick mine up from my designated pharmacy.

Ive always had mine delivered by pharmacy and that continues. It was just a case of if the doctors were still dealing with the repeat requests online efficiently when they are closed for so much else.

No reason why not as its online and operatives are in the position to work from home with the portal if required.

I dont know about you but I never think abot these sort of things. I just order it and the day after there it is. But sometimes I have to put in a one off/special request for medication so dont know how that works then.

Just email the surgery to request it. Give it 5 days and check with the chemist that the prescription has been received from the doctor. All GP surgeries have an email address so should not be difficult.

Dear wiser lady, where do you live, I live in Wigan, Lancashire, England. At our local surgery they are going to run a system where you take your request and post it through the surgery door, you would also have set up a pharmacist to collect your prescription by using the internet and then sending you an email when your medicines are ready to collect at the designated pharmacy. You would have to check with your surgery as to what method they are going to use. Hope my information helps, bless you Gilou xx

Hi Gilou. Am a long way from you and from what Ive heard there is no need to worry but varies from place to place. Not sure how a system where you take it and post it through door will work, when some like me are housebound and soon I doubt we will be allowed to go out at all. Most chemists deliver and mine has delivered to me for years. I was asking because I order my repeats on their website and was worried that it would take longer or get problems due to being housebound and unable to go and take things or collect things. But I hear many are in similar situations and fine.
