So i have really bad health anxiety and the anxiety of growing up and my 21st birthday is Wednesday and i have on and off anxiety over it. I finally made an appointment to see a therapist and it was today at 9am but I told my mom to cancel bc early in the morning, i dont feel like talking. I’m not in the mood but i know i wont get an appointment for another couple of weeks. So i dont know if i just did myself harm. I wanna go to therapy asap but just not before 9:30. My therapy is about 45min away. So that makes a key factor, i have to get up earlier plus be there 15min before the appointment. I wanna go to therapy comfortably, does that make sense for some of you? or am i just crazy? lol

Cancelled my First Therapy Appointment in a long time
hi my honest opinion I you should have went and then told them mornings aren't suitable for you because you struggle.i understand where you are coming from mornings can be difficult for many of us.
thanks for responding. i appreciate your honesty. i just know that if i went, i wouldve done whatever i could to get the appointment over with and no progress would really be done. i know myself enough that i wouldve just said everything i was feeling but in a simpler way so there wouldnt be much talking. making a new appointment now
Hi Alexis, oh I understand you completely my dear
I never make appointments before 1pm. Like you, mornings
aren't my best time in feeling comfortable in my own body.
I always like to get a good lunch in me before tackling the day as
well as hydrate after the long night w/o water. It can make a
difference in how successful you are with your appointments or
even running errands.
I know it's too bad you had to miss your appointment but hopefully
you will set the next one up at a better time for yourself. xx
I understand where your coming from! Mornings are never good for me and I always make appointments that work for me which I’m general is afternoon. But I’ve learned sometimes it helps to trick my mind and body and have an appointment at a early time or different time so my body has less time to panic. If that helps any.
