It’s been a rough few months since I’ve posted- but essentially my anxiety is morphing from health related issues to non-health ones. Currently- my main fear comes from going on Quora and reading stories about jail and how people were framed. Right now I’m terrified that I’m going to be framed for a serious crime, and that I’ll go to jail and be killed or face the death penalty (I know). I just want to live a normal life and so far my intrusive thoughts are only getting worse. Anyone experience something similar?
Thank You!

Don't believe everything you read on the internet, Quora do the same as all of that type of site, they put fictional stories and make them appear as fact just to get your attention. Everytime you click on that kind of forum they earn from their advertisers, some people are addicted to those sites because of the stories and stuff they like to believe the negative rubbish, to be honest Quora have emailed their site to so many people "Unsolicited " I am surprised that here in the UK they have not been Fined yet. Short answer is everytime you get a Quora message in email form put it in Spam and block! If it's in your "Newsfeed" report as not interested and block!
Never knew that about them! Seems really suspicious- but anything goes with social media and the internet these days so I’m not surprised unfortunately
Wow, that's a new one. And I thought, at one time, I had every irrational fear. Please don't take that wrong. We all know our fears are irrational. I woke up every night for 2 months because I was going on vacation and I'd fear I'd forget to pack something. I don't have any advice beside what other have stated...stay away from those sites. Maybe try looking for cat videos?? Good luck on your journey.
Nope! I totally get it- I thought so as well before my irrational thoughts/fears morphed into something else. It’s basically a continuous cycle for me that I am looking to stop. And for sure! Every time I have the urge to look something up I’m going to create a new habit! Thank you for responding, it’s very much appreciated!
Bring it up to them , it will relax you , and it’s supposed to be an anti psychotic . But making it relax all negative thoughts , relaxes your body , without turning you into an emotionless zombie. I have tried many meds in the past 7 years . Zopiclone is the only one I have stuck with
Definitely sounds interesting! I thought I knew all of the medicines for anxiety/OCD but I was wrong! Thank you so much for the suggestion, I’ll be sure to bring it up!
I know it isn’t as easy but try to divert your mind when you feeling like going on Quora. Trying reading listening to music. Anything other then reading Quora.
Definitely- the unanimous response here is to pretty much avoid sites like quora, and try to do something else when I have the urge to go on it or look something up for reassurance. Hopefully I’ll be breaking my cycle down! Thank you so much for the response, it’s much appreciated!!
