I suffer from tinnitus (Ringing of the ears) and have severe anxiety & panic disorder. Anxiety & panic come on randomly. What supplements work for you? Have tried many medications, did not like the way they made me feel.

I'm glad you posted a topic like this. I feel what your going through. I have ringing in both ears 3 years. My doctor said there's no cure. ENT specialist said to manage the symptoms. For me the ringing gets louder when I'm more stress out. I'm not sure about supplements that helps tinnitus. But I try to manage my anxiety by meditation, relax more, find more me alone time, listen to music to mask the ringing, distraction try not to focus on the ringing, drink kava, chamomile tea helps me. Acceptance of this tinnitus. Sometimes I have episodes where the ringing stops for a second or two and at night before a go sleep ringing gets loud quickly like someone turned on the knob of the volume then back. Weird. But supplements to help with anxiety and panic attacks. You can try Redicalm on Amazon, adrenal health, for me cbd oil has help me alot, but will not cure it, still have to get to the root of our anxiety/panic, supplements may help a little but it won't be strong and fast acting as prescription drugs. I agree, I hate the side affects, not good for us in the long run, it only mask the problem. I choose to go the natural way. I hope you can overcome this. God bless.

Thank you for reaching out and responding. It makes someone feel better and less like they're loosing it when another shares a similar story. I too get it badly when I am stressed!! and also at night when I am laying in bed. I try to turn my t.v. up a bit to focus on the background voices more, these new phones make it impossible now a days to listen to music on headphones and charge your phone at the same time haha!! Thank you and God Bless

my doctor explained why tinnitus is so prominent in people with anxiety...The amygdala is the part of the brain that is responsible for processing memories and emotions, also making it the part of the brain that is associated with anxiety and worry. One way the amygdala can react to stress is to activate it's " auditory function" when it gets overwhelmed and you start to hear "phantom ringing". Stress can cause tinnitus and tinnitus can make anxiety worse :/

Thanks for that info. Very helpful. It's pretty sad my regular Dr. and the ENT specialist couldn't even explain anything like that.
