I know this isn’t a forum to ask for medical advice and I’m not asking for any but has anyone else who’s been on Lexapro had a weird/metallic taste in their mouth?

Hi lizbeth, I've been on Lexapro for 7 years and haven't had that metallic taste.

Could it by any chance be from dental work in your mouth? xx

Not that I know of. I brush my teeth regularly and make sure to take care of my mouth. I know that metallic taste is a common side effect tho

Hi again, I just took a look at side effects of Lexapro..although not very common

I guess it can have some effect on people causing metallic taste. Most common

is the dry mouth which I get. I'd have a talk with your doctor or pharmacist if

it is bothersome enough.. xx

Yea I’ve read that dry mouth (which I get often) can cause metallic taste. I needed to ask just to make sure I’m not losing my mind 😂
