An increase as I think it was just to see how you got on first.
Hi Lovely, Three months is more than plenty of time for your medicine to have worked. I would definitely ask your doctor to increase your dosage or change your medication. x
If you aren't haven't bad side effects with the present dose perhaps and increase might help.

I was put on sertraline a couple of years ago after being on exeffor for a long time, it has certainly helped me but 25mg seems a very low dose , I was put on 50mg at the beginning and was told that was just a starting dose , I am now on 100mg now., feeling so much better, so yes ask your doc to look at putting it up., good luck it's worked for me, anxiety is awful it stops you living life ! Hope it works X
Hi, Lovely85. I am on Sertraline and my normal dose is 100mg. I had a brief relapse into depression/anxiety 2 weeks ago, after a family funeral, and took the maximum dose of 200mg for a week or so. Now I am back down to 150, and hope to be back to 100 by the weekend. HOWEVER, it is your GP who should be advising you, not me, as you may not have been as ill as I was in the past, and you may be on other medication as well. If you can't get an appointment, you should be able to get your GP to ring you. Anti-depressants really do work, in my experience anyway, so don't give up on them. Best Wishes, Pearwig.
I would be inclined to think that after 3 months it's perhaps not the tablet for you? Although increasing it may help, perhaps it's worth taking another tablet. I was on 100mg of Sertraline and it did nothing for me, I now take 30mg of Citalopram and feel 100% better along with cbt
25mg is the starter dose. I've been on this med for 8yrs now. I think it's good.
Hi there, I was on this medication and I don't feel it did anything for me. I changed to fluoxetine and it seemed to be much better. Wishing you well x
Yes my doctor increased it today to 100mg hopefully it would work.....crossing fingers
Yes, three months is a long time for a medication not to work. Speak to you doctor and let him or her know that its not working
I use Xanax to control my Anxiety disorder for years. That works for me I am prescribed 3 ml a day I bust them in half and use them as needed they really help me . Some Dr.s won't write for it so you need to find a Dr. That will I've had other Dr.s try to give me something else I walk right out the door. I need my Xanax for Panic and Anxiety Attacks.....

Hi CL-ROSE, how many times a week would you say you need to take a Xanax. Until coming to this forum, I had never heard of taking as needed with anxiety disorder. I was given 1/2 of 0.25mg daily for 30 years when it no longer worked. Maybe had it been "as needed" it would have been a different story. I agree Xanax was by far the most productive drug in controlling anxiety. wish you well
Uuum I stay level on them I take regularly 3-4 times a day but I just them in half I have 1ml tablets . I take when I feel withdrall or high level of Anxiety. I try to take them only as need but it is daily and regularly. I just say as needed because sometimes there too strong and makes me tired.
The Bottle says take 3 times a day or as needed for Anxiety
