Hi ! I was wondering if anyone had any luck trying to get their life together without taking anti anxiety meds . I do suffer greatly with anxiety and more so panic attacks. I am just taking .5mg Xanax up to 4 times a day currently . I don’t want to go on anti anxiety meds , BUT I do know that if I need to I would !! Just curious what anyone else does to help ... how about CBD .. I have CBD gummies , but haven’t given them 100 percent chance yet .

I've had some success with trying to handle my anxiety/panic struggles without meds. Along the way, I've found out that my story has a lot to do with my physical health, so if I feel anxiety or panic creeping up, I've built a routine that helps me get through to relief.

It's kind of a long story, but if you want to chat about it please send me a message.

I tried CBD but for me I didn't notice a difference. That could be because at the time my anxiety was going through a calm period. The one thing that I found that help as much as anything is exercise. I ride a bike and go to the gym. I'm not one for taking walks or hiking but those, I'm sure, would be just as beneficial.

I used a hypnosis program by Michael Mahoney. Helped me lots, and I learned a lot too.

Peace!

Always interesting and helpful to find out what others are doing to be successful with health management! Do you feel like you have a good understanding and recognition of your anxiety triggers and good coping strategies for the attacks? What strategies or techniques are effective for you?

Hi,

This is going to sound a bit hippie and hoo hoo but I've conquered my anxieties through a lot of spiritual healing and mindfulness practice.

Here is what I was doing every day before sleep, the anxieties have gone in week.

1. 30 minutes of slow mindful yoga to a slow music. Only lit a candle, dim all other lights. I also used essential oils such as levander and chamomile.

2. 15 minutes of very slow abdominal breathing. 6 seconds in (through nose) 12 seconds out (through nose). Make sure to channel the breath to your belly, not your neck.

3. Listening to calming music during the day. There are few that are especially called "spiritual healing".

A lot of anxieties people suffer from these days (including the one I had) is from emotional baggage we carry. Traumas in past, a harm done to us tthat we have never gone over. Lot of people are stuck in hopeless life situations lacking purpose and internal drive in life. Lot of us are living mechanical lives obeying rules of others and we lost touch with out inner self.

Ofcourse there is a neurological component, there is serotonin inhibition, there are genetic snips on the COMT enzyme clearing dopamine too fast, there are neurological injuries, there is liver detoxification impairment and many physiological reasons that could trigger anxieties. .....BUT the emotional component rarely getts addressed.

...just my 2 cents :) Message me if you'd like to chat about it.

As per some more natural supplements:

* lot of people with anxieties are deficient in magnesium, you cna try 300mg of magnesium citrate once per day

* there are some adaptogenic herbs you could try. Siberian Ginseng tincture could be a good start. Indigo Herbs sell one I think. Make sure to go for tincture not caps and don't get a ratio that is worse than 1:3.
