For me neither of these worked but trazadone was the saviour for me and my chronic anxiety!! Xx
Never heard of that
Is it for anxiety ?x
Could you possibly tell me more bout this plz as I worry so much bout side effects
Citapram I have been on for months now down to 10 mg every few days and I take 1 mg of Diaz every day too
Just not getting or feeling better
Xx
1mg of diazepam is very small. I doubt you would even feel the calming effects of it.
Thing is though I have been taking Diaz for a year
Xxx
you would have possibly built up a tolerance lso, i would have thought that would be best to take a bigger dosage only when you feel really anxious
Was on 10mg of citalopram upped to 20mg after various anti depressants in past with no success at all or too many side effects,
Trazadone is an older one and me personally have had no side effects
It works faster than the newer ones 1-2 weeks for me it was almost instant,
I’ve finally stopped with my very crippling and almost very dangerous anxiety illness and just spent my first Christmas actually enjoying it, and not convinced it’s my last! Finally feel the fog lift
Never ever thought I’d say this leaving 2019 but I’m in a good place mentally and it’s all thanks to this wonderdrug!! Trazadone has literally saved my life xx
Health anxiety and ocd associated with the obsession of getting cancer and dying,
Same
My thoughts are always cancer or dying to or have some terminal illness
It’s horrible
Everyday I have some symptom
Either can’t breath properly or heart going weird or feeling off balance or pains
It’s never ending
I have lost weight too not much but I feel it
That scares me too
Hoping it’s anxiety and not anything else
I also don’t go out anymore and my life now is work and home or looking after grandkids even then I feel anxious and can’t wait to get home
It’s horrid
Two yrs ago I was normal on 40 mg cit
Never worried just happy person now two yrs on I am a completely different person.
I came on cit July two yrs ago as I woke one morning with a panic attack so gp put me on sertraline was on that for 6 months but they never helped
Then went back on cit

I was on mirazapine, I felt like it helped me. My doctor took me off it because I was gaining weight. I was heavy before it. I had no problems with it (No side effects). I wouldn’t take what she gave me because I had taken it before and did nothing. So I’ve been on my own for several months. I’ve gotten a referral for a new doctor, I’m not doing well emotionally. So I’m looking forward to going back on Medications. So try each one and if one doesn’t help? Try the other? Good luck
So weird as I tried 20 mg of cit which dr asked me to up from 10mg but same as u I got horrible side effects and lost weight that’s y they want me on Mirtazapin just soooo scared
Think I have read too many horror stories
They said u get dizziness with it but I have that already do don’t wanna get that side effect
I have been reducing my cit from 20 to 10 last couple of months and now I take 10 mg every 3 or 4 days now.
But I do take 1mg Diaz every day
Not sure this unbalanced feeling is from such a low dose of cit or it’s the Diaz
Any advice ?
Xxxxxxxx
Ps dr said to take 15mg at night and come off the citrapram straight away but she said I can carry on with the 1mg of Diaz xxx
Drugs affects are different for different people? I didn’t have side effects from any drug I’ve tried. I’ve been lucky that way, but most did nothing for me, so there not so lucky. Mirazaphine was the only one that helped. I don’t think it had anything to do with my weight gain? I say Keep trying till you find the ONE? It’s out there you just have to be patient ? It’ll be worth it in the long run.
Hi, I've been taking Mirtazapine for the last two and a half weeks, and can honestly say I feel so much better, it helps with my sleep without making me feel drowsy in the morning. My depression and anxiety has lifted too, so will continue to take them for awhile. Tried to manage without taking anything, but the anxiety/ depression was affecting my quality of life. Could'nt get on with Citralopram, gave me heart palpitations. Hope this helps.
Thank u for replying and reassuring me but can I ask wat mg are u taking ?
Dr offered me 15mg
I think because I am so anxious anyway and the thought of taking another type of meds really scares me also I live alone so it’s worse
I keep thinking omg wat happens if something happens or I go weird on it
Did u have anxiety and panic
Mine is health anxiety and think I may be in peri menopause too
I just don’t know wat to do
My problem is that I google a lot and read stuff that puts me off like people having bad side effects from it and they say they feel drugged and dizzy .
This scares me
If I wasn’t so anxious think I would just take it lol

I keep asking Drs for a blood test to see if I am ok or if I am lacking in sumthing but they say to have one in new year
I read anxiety could be a sign of low iron or vit b12 ?
As I keep getting like a drunk feeling or like I am wearing someone’s glasses and vision is off
And wake up with that horrible doom feeling and on edge
Hence y I take Diaz
Xxx
I'm on 15mg, I suffer from health anxiety as well. Try them and see how you get on, you can always stop if they don't agree with you, they won't harm you. I've experienced no side effects so far. Please don't Google your symptoms, we all do it, but it really doesn't help, only accelerates the anxiety and keeps it going. The best to you🤗
Thank u for replying had grt reply’s
I am so grateful
Can I ask how u was before the meds ?
And how long have I been on them
Xxx
Felt awful, not sleeping well, feelings of doom and gloom, didn't want to get up in the morning. Never wanted to go on antidepressants, as I don't like taking medication, but now I wished I had taking them earlier instead of suffering unnecessarily. Quality of life on a day to day basis is important for our mental and physical well being. Hope this helps, take care xx
I've been on Mirtazapine for almost 2 years now, and it has worked wonders for my anxiety levels, I have pretty much been able to lead a normal life since taking it, even started back to work. I had a bad experience with an SSRI before and was so reluctant to take anything else, but so glad I took this. It helps massively with sleep, I now sleep well all the time which considering I have been suffering quite frequent periods of insomnia for years is life changing. I have put on weight, around 28lbs. To be honest though, I was quite underweight and enjoyed the sensation of wanting food, so absolutely stuffed my face for the first 6 months. You will crave carbs, but if you are aware of this, and try hard then I honestly think you can control the weight gain. I didn't feel dizzy, the only side effect (other than the carb cravings) was that I felt mildly aggressive for around 2 days in the first week, but that was it. Hope this has been helpful.
Thank u for kind response
Can I ask did u go from ssri to mitzapine ?x
Ps
I fall asleep ok but it’s the waking up early hrs and 3 or 4 times a night that gets me
I do sleep but interrupted sleep and I also think a lot before going to sleep
?
Main issue is my health anxiety and all the symptoms that come with it ?
I wanted a blood test before going on it xx
Wonder if my dizzy feelings are coming off citrapram or tapering ?
I was on an SSRI a while before but had come off them, then when my anxiety got really bad again I tried to go on them again and had really bad side effects. I found the effects were so much faster with Mirtazapine, I actually felt much better within a few weeks, whereas with the SSRI it was all so slow.
Yeah I need to gain back my healthy weight too
Don’t know y I lost it
I guess it’s anxiety x
I have heard quite a few people suffering from vertigo when they come off of anti depressants. I have found that the Mirtazapine has made me more reasonable in my approach to my anxieties. So before I was on meds, I knew that my fears were irrational, but I didn't seem to have any control over the effect of my thoughts on myself at all if that makes sense. Now I'm on the meds, I still have ridiculous thoughts, but I am able to take a step back and use the reasonable part of my brain, rather than always just being in a state of complete panic/terror. Might be that if you are more relaxed generally you won't wake up constantly in the night anymore.
Defo
I think watching YouTube videos scared me so much
Did u lose weight with ur anxiety
I do eat but not the same anymore
I feel underweight and want my body back lol
I am 10stone 4
Used to be 10and a half stone or maybe lil bit more x
And I am 5ft 5
My tummy is big though lol
But legs got thin x
I couldn't eat when I was really anxious, just felt sick all the time, and I worry about food poisoning etc all the time, takes the joy out of food. Have made up for it now! I'm a lot bigger than I would like now, but I feel so much happier so I guess that's the price I'm paying. Even when I was 'skinny' though, I still had a belly!
Thank u for kind reassurance
Wonder if I can stop the citrapram and go straight on mitzapine x
