Starting to feel anxiety again

For the last two months I have been feeling great. I did not get dizzy spells anymore and didn't feel pressure on my chest. I am so thankful for my medication, Lexapro. I was worried of being too dependent on the medication so, I stopped taking it for like two weeks. I have been sick with the flu for the past week so I have been scared to take my medication with medicine for the flu. I woke up today with rapid heart beats. I have been feeling anxious for the past two days so I took my medication last night. I don't know if I feel this way because of the medication or it's just me having anxiety because I have not taken my medication in weeks. I am still super sick of the flu and have a horrible cough. I stopped taking flu medicine and I am just going to stick with my anxiety medication. Its just scary right now because I'm starting to get my old symptoms and since I have not felt them in a long time I get even more anxious. The thought of going back to wear everything started makes my scared, especially if my dizzy spells come back. For now I'll just stick to medication and hope everything settles down.

Hi I'mHere, the minute you stopped the Lexapro, your dose kept decreasing until

all your anxiety symptoms came back. Stopping abruptly confuses the chemicals in

the brain. Might be a good idea to call your prescribing doctor and let them know

you had stopped the Lexapro. Also ask for their professional advice on treating

your cold symptoms while on Lexapro. Get well soon. :) xx

I didn't think that stopping my medication would be that serious. I am a bit concerned now. I was feeling better so I just slowly stopped. I am feeling dizzy again and just started talking my medication again so I am hoping that helps. I still can't really sleep at night because of my cough and feel like I don't get a full nights rest, which is contributing with my anxiety. Still, I'm just trying to stay positive.

Hi. Have you had and ECG done before? If not, I think you probably should. Those symptoms should not be ignored before getting okay from your doctor

I have always felt dizzy. I think that's how I get anxiety. I have spoken to my doctor about it but he doesn't seem too concerned about it.
