Smelling smoke from sinus issues?

I have been concerned about smelling smoke, or at least the sensation of smoke at the top of your nose (if you know what i mean), whenever I began to smell it other people have said they can, but im not sure if ive now tricked myself into smelling more frequently. I have recently had some phlegm (I think) at the top of my nose and swallow it in every swallow. I haven't really had any major headaches and haven't had any vision or speech or co-ordination problems. Could this be sinusitus? I have had a feeling of fullness in my ears and cheeks.

Same with me, I have been diagnosed with a ear infection got antibiotics and drops still I smell smoke hard to explain maybe exhaust fumes no one else can smell it this has been going on for 3 weeks now
