Welcome back... :(

Its not that I have been anxiety free, but the breakthrough anxiety/panic has returned. Let me explain 'breakthrough'.. I am not on any daily regiment of medication, simply Xanax as needed. Breakthrough for me means super-disruptive, life-altering, out of no where ATTACK!!

This morning I was cleaning and singing, just fine and BOOM... shortness of breath, dizzyness, air-seeking, dry mouth, difficulty swallowing and life had to STOP. (side note: I have been to some of the best doctors in FL and I have NO underlying medical conditions so I have at least stopped going to the emergency room...) Does anyone else have this??

I mean totally nothing bothering me and now I had to take meds.. the shaking is when I know I have waited too long. Typing this helps, I know I am not alone. I also know that there are far worse ailments I could be suffering from, but anyone who says this is easy, has no clue.

I will keep fighting the fight....

xoxo-H

Yes, this can happen out of the blue. I was watching TV one night, totally relaxed,, and BOOM!...out of the blue comes palpitations to 110 and a severe spike in BP, then the dizziness. Freaked me out. I was totally fine. It can happen. I guess it is something within the subconscious or right under the surface or maybe you are not catching those lightning speed thoughts. They can set you off and you don't even know it. A really good sight to visit is anxietycentre.com. They have a very thorough list of symptoms, which is incredibly long, and very, very good free advice. Or you can become a member (it's dirt cheap), and get even more info. I know it is not good to constantly read and focus on anxiety, but sometimes putting you mind at ease can help. I think that site charges about 6 or 8 bucks to belong.

You know your stomach is nerve central and if you are having a pre-spell or just stomach cramps, it will lite you up just out of nowhere. Now before you hit Google or diagnosis body cancer, remember this is just temporary. You beat it before and you can beat again. Write down on paper your map of how you got there as if backtracking loss keys. There's always a trigger. 37 years still fighting these myself and I'm starting to tell them, no not today!

I have debilitating panic and anxiety and even meds don't help. I also suffer from severe depression and am on several meds that don't help. I have lost several jobs because of this and have severe anxiety being around people. Can not give you a reason for why this happens. I get what you are going thru.
