Chest pain,strain

What would you say is the cause of a type of chest discomfort that feels like muscle contraction in the center of your chest. Almost feels like your muscle starts to stretch for a second or two then disappears.. it's at the center...it comes on off and on just been having this today

I would say it's tension based on anxiety. I have AF and SVT so I know what it feels like when your heart gets jumpy or irritated . It has a more distant feel where as muscle feels closer to the surface. Do you have any problems with digestion ? That always causes discomfort in the same area. If it continues get it checked. You know I'm not a Doctor. My opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it! Hope you feel better. Pam

it sounds like tension or anxiety i get it too so when it happens i meditate and do deep breathing to calm myself down
