Anxiety or more?

I got on a new anxiety medicine last week and it’s been working good for me. I’ve had 2 panic attacks since when I’m used to having 1 to 2 a day. But these two panic attacks have felt different than what I’m used to. It’s like a numb feeling, I get lightheaded, I feel like I can’t breathe, chest and upper back shoulder blade pain, it’s very overwhelming and in that moment I feel like I’m gonna die. My head gets dizzy my heart hurts, and something just dosent feel right. What’s y’all’s opinion? Could it be a new kind of panic attack from my new medicine (I’m on Buspar)

It could very well be the meds. I tried 3 different antidepressants and they made me worse. More anxiety.

What were your old panic attacks like? How do these differ?

These ones make me more numb and they’re harder to breathe rather than my other ones I would breathe too much. But my medicine is supposed to keep my heart rate at a normal rate during panic attacks so I feel like that could be why

It will take awhile for the meds to really get in your system.

I hope relief is on its way.

I was on buspar for years along with a couple other things and did well.

I hope you get more relief as time goes on.

I took buspar after trying many different meds. My insurance was discontinued and I was off of it for 9 months.. when I got back on it, it made my anxiety worse and I felt like a ton of bricks on my back that weren’t allowing me to breathe right

This is the best I’ve done on any medication, I’ve tried therapy and everything and nothing hits right. But this medicine makes me stay relaxed and stuff for the most part

I've Neve heard of Medication creating anxiety, but I guess anything's possible? Did you speak to your doctor about it? He might need to change it? I've changed Medication several times.

My doctors have never mentioned it

Xanax is very addicting and weaning off of that will be worse than any anxiety you’ve ever experienced.. it’s good for short time use but never depend on that long term!!
