Hello, just want to introduce myself, I’m a 54 year old over anxious obsessive compulsive depressed guy, who sometimes needs someone to talk to. I know I’m not wired like normal people, yes I am an electrician so I get it. I’m hoping to help someone and maybe get a ray of hope from time to time. I’m having a hard time lately and people here have been a live preserver for me, people who at least are wired like me. My baby girl has bladder cancer and is peeing blood, I love that dog. The day will come I will be asking for help coping, for now I know she’s my best friend in the world.

Your poor pup, she’s a sweetheart! We will be here for you! 🐶 ❤️
Welcome Flyingdon! We are happy to have you here! Sorry to hear about your pup. She sure is a cutie!
I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having a hard time and that your pup isn’t doing too well either. You can messages me any time that you need someone to talk to. I could definitely benefit from having someone to talk to as well, without feeling like I’m crazy or dramatic.
I sure hope your fur baby will be ok. She loves you more than you know. I have 3 fur babies and they are all my entire world. Wishing you and your pup the best! ❤️
Welcome , do you see a therapist for your anxiety? if not here is a number to some great people that can offer some free counseling advise and can refer you to professionals in your area 1-855-382-5433. also here is a great article on anxiety I found bit.ly/2lWMvFZ . What I have found that helps for me is to write down all my blessings, when I look at them and reflect on them I cant help but smile . Two of my blessings are my three year old and two year old Australian Cattle Dog mixes, they love me unconditionally as I do them. Prayers my friend.
Hello, Flyingdon - we are a similar age (I'm 50). How long have you been living with anxiety, OCD and depression? You will find that there are people wired just like you here - it's not a club that any of us want to be in for sure, but we help each other along. It's good to know you're not alone (or the only one feeling the crazy and unusual symptoms that anxiety can throw at you).
Your girl is a sweetie for sure - look at how much she loves you! She is saying 'come on Dad - you can do this! I've given you my best, and I want the best for YOU'! If she could speak, this is what she'd be telling you. We are all here for you, whenever things get tough. Please give that sweet girl a cuddle and an ear rub from me. 💜
I’ve been OCD my whole life, depression has hit me after 50 and is a new issue I’m experiencing now.
Bless you - it's so tough! Definitely as I've got older, I find more anxiety traits coming to the fore. It is not over for you, though - not by a long shot! There is something called the 'happiness curve' that shows that a sense of wellbeing returns in our 60's. I dunno WHY the 5th decade has to be so tough - I figure it's a time of taking stock for a lot of us, although I cannot often find a root reason for why things are troubling me so intensely. So - we tie ourselves to the mast, and weather these storms and reach out - if we can - for any steadying rock along the way. This forum is one of those rocks - the people are kind here, and when you are feeling so emotionally bruised and battered, simple kindness means a lot.
Thinking of you today - and sending you peace. 💜
beautiful happy looking dog.welcome to you we really are a forum of cat and dog lovers.
