Hi Luz- Lexapro or any other medication is not going to take away tension completely.
It will be up to you to find different outlets in letting out your tenseness. Either through
therapy or some form of meditation. Let your doctor know how you are feeling. Depending
how long you have been on Lexapro as well as 7.5 mg can determine if he needs to raise
the dosage or switch you to something else. With any med there will always be some
residual of anxiety. Learning to accept it and not allow it to grow is part of healing. xx
I feel the same way and I take 10mg. I been to the doctor and had a full work up everything is normal. I just feel weird
I might be wrong I don't have my prescriptions paperwork handy, but I'm thinking it's meant as an antidepressant primarily and is known for having an effect on anxiety. But it's not a sure thing for helping with this. In fact many medications are like that where they have effects on other things then the primary reason it's prescribed for. Perhaps look at the prescription paperwork that give the details and see. Careful attention to the words used for it. Such as may have an effect on, or may help with.
Hi Luz
How long have you been taking Lexapro? It takes quite a long time until the changes in your brain happen. It should help anxiety and your feeling tense but for me it took a good 8/10 weeks before I properly knew it was working properly. Good luck 😊

Hi I’ve been taking it for about 7 weeks or so but don’t think it’s doing anything to me makes me feel awful
7.5 mg is quite a low dosage. I would suggest you visit your medical practitioner as I would have thought there might be some slight improvement by now. Do you feel worse than before you started taking Lexapro?
