Head pains

Hi everyone does anyone else get weird shooting pains in the head that come out of nowhere and freak you out thats what just happened to me i was laying here trying to fall asleep and all the sudden i got this weird feeling in my forhead and i jumped out of the bed and of course started haveing anxiety because of it

Yup! It feels kind of like a pulling pain? I get them all over my head every now and then, it is annoying! Sometimes they can feel like an electric shock and other times like a muscle cramp. It’s probably all the tension and stress! X

Yep. Especially when anxiety is up.

I have had these for about 14 years. Can be really painful but usually only last a few seconds - a couple of minutes. I think mine are associated with the migraine headaches I also have.

When I originally had them, they caused me a lot of anxiety and I thought all sorts of awful things.

They’re quite common, I’d recommend Googling ‘ice pick headaches’ .

Over the years, I have noticed they are worse at times of high stress and anxiety.

Of course, if this is something you’ve never experienced before, getting it checked by a doctor could be a good idea but very likely nothing to worry about.
