Hi I am new here,so awhile ago I had a bad episode with adderall, and I had multiple panic attacks and had stimulant toxicity. After that I quit and after that I felt like I had bad anxiety and stuff, while having the stimulant toxicity this fear grew in me that I would have a heart attack at some point. I also watched a schizophrenic documentary in which I believed I would get it. I would begin to question is what I see real? even though i don't feel out of it at all I just look at objects and ask is this real or am I in my head too much? Fast forward 6 months I have had this idea stuck in my head and vivid dreams. alongside all of this it is hard for me to sleep and the vivid dreams are gone but the falling asleep is what scares me. As soon as I am about to fall asleep I get up with a sense of fear and a form dissociation occurs in which I don't know my surroundings for a brief minute and after that I make sense of it. I don't know what this is. It scares me I feel like my brain might be going into the first stages of schizophrenia but at the same time some days after a workout and my chest is tight from chest workouts i get nervous that ill get a heart attack. At the same time GAD to me does not explain the issue of waking up right when I am about to fall asleep in fear and a little unaware for my surroundings? Any ideas? should I be prepared for something worse ;( let me know thank you!

This happens to me and it's definitely anxiety in my case. I get the feeling and jump right up. I have to talk myself down from it. Remind myself nothing is going on etc. eventually I calm down.

One never has to worry if it's " something bad" The bad stuff never scares you, it, simply IS a problem and you don't freak out about it.

If you have to ask " is this anxiety" it probably is

If you have to ask, " should I be worried" you probably don't.
