How to get rid of nervous stomach feeling
I know that feeling, since I’ve paid for my holiday to go away with family I’ve been anxious and nauseous. I try to do belly breathing to calm myself or go for a walk, I do know that if I focus on it, it won’t go. It’s taken me a long While to realise that even though I still have the tendency to do it. It’s a of fear of the future, in my case anyway. I drink chamomile tea or sometimes ginger tea helps. When the nerves calm down it stops. It’s Not easy to do when you’re anxious I know.
I hope you start to feel better soon. I’ve had that nauseous feeling in stomach today. Before I decided to go away I was doing relatively ok and no nausea feelings. I’ve Read in many books that the best thing to do is live in the Now, forget the future if you/we can, it doesn’t exist yet and when we do get there it’s the Now anyway. If that makes sense. Listen to me, I don’t always practice what I preach Lol 🙄 x
Hi, I regularly get this feeling, sometimes out of the blue and for no reason that I can think of, at other times when I'm anxious about a situation. I have learnt over the years that if I can ignore it, it goes away but that is often easier said than done. I hope all goes well with your property sale.
It's very difficult to ignore but I'm trying to distract myself so I'm not just focusing on the feeling. Thank you, I'm sure it can't be any worse than all my thoughts about it 😊
I've been like this regarding my work for a while.
It's like i have stage fright. My psych tells me its 'performance anxiety'. I guess that's the technical term.
Yesterday, he prescribed a med called Prazosin.
It's a blood pressure med but i can take it as needed.
It's helps reduce the 'fight or flight' response.
It is also used in ptsd patients to reduce nightmares.
It's not sedating or addictive like a benzo.
I'm hoping it helps me not feel so nervous at work.
I have to talk on the phone all day with bank people and customers etc. I really like my job and am good at it, but lately this anxiety has got me messed up.
It's hard having this illness. Sometimes all is good, then out of nowhere, bam!
Hey, moving to a new home is one of the most stressful things you can do, all familiarity goes so it could be the unconscious thought about it triggering you in to a deeper state of anxiety.
Rather ride it out or maybe cancel the move till you're in a better place but good luck either way.
I had a uncomfortable feeling in my stomach also to where I had trouble sleeping. Went to the doctor turns out I have stomach inflammation. I was told to take philosec 40mg, take 4 days to work, seems like it is helping. Was told cause of my anxiousness it stirs up gases in the stomach causing inflammation.
That's quite interesting something I'd not thought about. I think in my case it's my anxiety making these feelings but if it were to continue long term I would speak to my doctor about that
I have been on Prozac for three weeks and wake up early with the same intense nervous stomach every morning.
