Hi all, I've had a total hysterectomy Wednesday and I'm slowly recovering. I was told I had fibroids, endometriosis, scarring, adhesions ovarian cysts and had to have everything taken away. Also my bowel was connected to my womb due to surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. I'm doing ok but I'm depressed. I have some anxiety setting back in and just need some advise to get through the next few weeks... Any one been through this at my age (38) I would really appreciate tips to help. Also any tips on how to disperse the trapped gas in my upper abdomen from the surgery. Love to all

Gosh I had exactly the same, endometriosis and adhesions, and my bowel was the same connected all the way down the left hand side.
I don't know about you but I had tremendous pain and symptoms for ages, but since the op and it was a while ago for me, I've been fine.
I think it's hard to cope with at first, on a psychological level as well, but I have never looked back. It'll make you a new woman!
Best Wishes xx
Thank you for the reply. Everything is still tender and sore at the moment so I think that's making me feel down in myself... What did you do to help get feeling good again? I've been walking around not just sitting around and I'm thinking I might try and go to my parents house for an hour today just for a change of scenery... Just anxiety kicking in after the operation and I'm trying not to let it
