I was on Effexor for 14 yrs. Last August I had to stop because it caused ridiculously high blood pressure for me. I remember gaining weight about 2 months in to taking it but I have always been within a healthy weight range so I didn't pay attention to how much. During that time I had a highly physical job and could average between 15 to 27 thousand steps per day (also lots of lifting, unloading trucks, etc.) I'm a 5ft 1inch formerly 125lb female btw. 34 yrs old.
Anyway, after I came off Effexor xr (with minimal withdrawal for those that are curious) I dropped to where I currently sit at 107lbs. It really freaked me out! I don't ever remember being this small!
Has anyone else had this? Didnt change anything else and all recent blood tests do not indicate any health concerns.

Me too, although I don't remember any real bad withdrawl myself, one of the best responses I've had to ssri's was with venlafaxine ...like you say you hear it a lot..
I didnt have problems the first time I came off effexor. I am on it 10 years later again and no weight issues before during or after. I also have low blood pressure but it doesnt mean things cant change.
