My dr still insists my symptoms are all anxiety and he prescribed me ativan and zoloft. Anyone that has been on zoloft what are the side effects did it help?

I’ve taken Ativan and Xanax and they both make me feel unbalanced/ dizzy but it does calm my thoughts. Zoloft was prescribed but I read the side effects and was too scared to take
I’ve taken Ativan for a few weeks only half of what doc prescribed though. It’s very addictive so I stopped taking them. They did work though. The first time I took one I thought to myself how wonderful to feel normal it was like a happy pill! I had no side effects.
