Anyone gotten this???

Recently I have been getting this really heavy pressure feeling in my head that seems to weigh me down then make my upper torso feel heavy and make breathing hard every time I stand up for a few moments, and I also get immense fear in those moments that my lungs will shut down. It’s worse when I am anxious and reallyyyy mild when I am not. Please help, this is really scaring me! The thought of having a brain disease and suddenly dying from it, is slowly starting to manifest in my head. Is it normal for head sensations to travel to your chest and stomach??

Yes, I’d get that sensation many years ago..which would lead to a full blown panic or health anxiety attack. I’d have a lingering smothering sensation afterward and it felt like i couldn’t quite breath well. But do you only get it when you stand up?

Yeah I get it when I stand up, and when I sit down, moments of immense fear of course along with those symptoms! I also get pressure in my ears. I have a feeling that this will stay with me forever till I die :( I sometimes get it when I am still sat down and just worrying.

How’s your blood pressure?? Doctor tested my blood pressure sitting and then after standing to make sure of something but I can’t remember what for. Anyway, mine was fine. But I found that interesting. Look into it.

I was told that mine is fine too, my blood pressure happens to naturally have a normal measure of 100/60 or something, according to the doctors. They said it’s normal especially if I am taking propranolol. But google says it’s low :( And that test you are talking about is a test for postural tachycardia syndrome, they make sure that there is not a massive difference in heart rate and blood pressure after standing up and sitting down. It’s a syndrome I have recently been worrying about a lot!! I have most symptoms of it and it says thay it can be mistaken as anxiety, I’m really horrified.

Oh. Hmmm. That is interesting. I also have a very low blood pressure but not on any medication. I have not had those symptoms in a long time. When I had them I was also put on a beta blocker but I had some type of benign tachycardia constantly. It was very scary but it was also stress and anxiety related. I know it’s hard but try to not over think it and instead know that you are doing something about it and have your doctors run all the tests needed. My tachycardia went away on its on without the medication.

Try to not overthink these health issues . If you’ve been told by medical professional that your Ok , try and not create things in your mind .
