How long do side effects last on sertraline

Hi again all

I've now been on sertraline for over a month but still getting loose stools. Had loads of tests done at the doctors and they have all come back normal.

My question is could it still be from the sertraline after a month?

Thanks

Yes, it could be. If your doctors have checked out your digestive tract and so on, the next two questions would probably be diet/medications. It is a common symptom....you may want to ask your doctor if using a probiotic or fiber supplement would be worth trying. If it is related to the Zoloft, it could still go away (hard to give a time frame as everyone is unique) or it may linger. Unfortunately one of those benefits versus risks scenarios. To answer your question, yes, I think it very well could be the medication causing the issue; especially with the other tests ran showing all else normal. I would ask your doctor or a pharmacist of any suggestions to help improve this situation if it happens to persist.
