Anyone experience tingling cheeks, teeth tightly closed and feeling dizzy on sertraline? I feel terrible. I don't know what to do.

Sertraline side effects.
How long have you been taking it? I'd say if you just started, keep taking it if you can, even if you feel bad. I had the teeth clinching among other side effects that were pretty bad. I toughed it out and it took about 5 weeks before all the side effects went away. I'm glad I stayed In it as I am feeling really well now.
Thank you for replying. It's been about 3 weeks since GP switched me from Citalopram to Sertraline because I had a severe episode of physical symptoms that he felt were a panic attack. I think I will wean off this. If 25 mg causes these effects Im too nervous to go up to 50mg.
I had side effects from Sertraline when I first started but it's now been nearly 3 months for me. I'm on 100mg and once it's settled down it's not as intense for me but everyone is different and it can take some time to adjust to medication. I'm being increased steadily and ideally they want me on 150mg I'm nervous about that as it makes me very sleepy later on in the day.
Thankyou for replying
I just can't consider increasing the dose because how on earth do we then one day come off them? But I understand you may be better on them than off. We are all different. I wish they made me sleepy! Im absolutely wired
I was on sertraline for yeeeears and it does take a fair amount of time to fully adjust to it, especially if you start at a high dose. I was put on 50mg which didn't seem to help me, it was raised to 100mg which caused really severe headaches and anxiety and I was dropped back to 50 which oddly made me feel alright after a while. I stopped taking sertraline earlier this year and I've told my GP that I won't take it again because it throws out some nasty side effects while your body adjusts to it, it took about 10 weeks for me to start feeling the benefits.
Hang in there, I hope everything works out for you but if you still feel bad after a while then I'd suggest seeing your doctor about a change in dose.
