Is losing your appetite usual with anxiety? I always enjoyed my dinners but I don’t seem to be anymore, I’ll make it sit down and it’s a struggle to get through it, now I never finish it completely. Don’t think this inflammation in my stomach helps either, might have to tell my doctor when I see her next. and just had a hot flash go through me as well and those weird hot feelings in the arms again briefly. It seems when I get in after being with people it can affect me More. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve only got my own company for the rest of the day and evening or not, as nothing distracts me enough. I went to sort through my washing earlier and it was another struggle, it’s stupid. I don’t seem to be able to get things together as in doing the normal things indoors I have to sit down after a few minutes and yet I walked around some shops and I didn’t feel tired in the same way it’s All very strange to me?

No appetite etc
Hi there. Yes, anxiety can definitely make you lose your appetite. When your body is in that "fight or flight" response mode, it backs down the systems your body doesn't need to "escape or fight". One of them is digestion. I've had it before and was nauseous as well. It passed after I calmed down.
Yes the nausea and heaving is horrible, think that’s what’s aggravated my upper stomach. There have been a couple of days when I haven’t felt the nausea, and then it hits big time, sometimes first thing in
The morning, then other times can be during the day. usually when I work myself up even f I don’t think I am....if that makes sense?
Hi Sam.
I did get nausea alot.
Yours sounds particularly unpleasant though.
Hope you feel better soon.
You did really well to get out and about yesterday.
Kim
It’s mainly down to poor sleep.
And I’m worrying myself silly when I can’t sleep which makes everything worse.
I have a fear start building up in me when I can’t sleep,
I don’t know what to do....get up or stay in bed . I usually stay in bed,
I might drop off early hours wake up at half 6-7, it’s usually every other night and I don’t know why .
Then I start worrying more and gagging. After a fairly reasonable day yesterday this morning I don’t feel too good at all ☹️ Sam xx
So sorry to hear that. Mornings are the worse time. I remember you said you felt pretty bad yesterday morning too but then you had a fairly good day, getting out and about and did really well.
Do you think you can do the same again, I am sure your neighbours would understand if you need to go out and about with them again after you have had a rest in bed.
If not perhaps get out for a bit of window shopping or food shopping on your own then you can relax and chill out in the afternoon.
My very best wishes.
You will get through this tough bit.
Kim
