I have no energy.

After being sedentary for too long I find it difficult to exercise because I am so weak. It’s my own fault because if I sit I don’t hurt so that’s what I do all day long is sit. I’ve got to get up and moving but I need some suggestions.

Hi

I think it's something you just have to force yourself to do. Then it will become part of a routine.

Don't set your goals too high in the beginning. Take it in small steps so it's not overwhelming.

I was the same way, my anxiety and depression made me sedentary to the point of literally laying in bed all day for probably 10 months straight aside from taking a bath, because I was so weak to stand and shower, using the bathroom, sometimes cleaning up and rarely cooking, and being so used to it my heart would race just from rolling over, my body was literally so deconditioned, I was getting heart palpitations and aches and pains all over, even when laying in bed because I just wasn’t using anything and I just started with making it a thing to clean my whole room every day for a week straight (even if it wasn’t messy, sweep, mop, wipe everything down, organize etc) then the second week I did two rooms daily, then my whole upstairs, then my whole up and downstairs then everything daily, and adding a little walk etc, start slow, and move up, do stretches, hot baths, a little things, for me it was so hard to force myself to get out of bed and it made the pain sooo bad for a few weeks then it just became the normal and it’s hard to sit down now lol my body feels so much better, no more palpations and honestly less anxiety, make sure you start slow, drink a lot of water and stretch! You got this!

Thanks for the advice. How long it take? This feeds into my health anxiety. Did the pain go away?

Ofcourse! And it took me about a month to make it kind of a natural routine without having to think about it and just doing it and it took about the same way for my body to adjust as well as mentally adjust, it was more pain then way less about a month/ month and a half, epsom salt baths after everything helped a lot!
